Ce la Vie

Mncela rhetorically debates from a bird’s eye view the ins and outs of this life. His compositions are between celebrations and struggles. While upholding  the fact that there is joy at the end of struggles, Mncela questions the past of colonialism, and the blindfolded consciousness of many who find joy in mimicking their role models and not themselves. He incorporates the white blindfolds as symbols of whitewash and insinuates a slight curve in the direction of many choosing their role- models as whiteness to find joy.
