POWER OF WORDS

Power of Words is a visual meditation on language as both force and responsibility. The painting explores how words shape identity, influence emotion, and construct reality—often long before we are aware of their impact. Words can affirm or destroy, heal or divide; once spoken, they carry weight that cannot be retrieved. In this work, language is treated not merely as communication, but as energy in motion.

The composition suggests an exchange between thought and expression, where silence and speech coexist in tension. Layers, marks, and symbols evoke conversations—some spoken aloud, others internal—highlighting how much of our dialogue happens within ourselves. The work reflects contemporary society, where words are consumed rapidly through screens and headlines, yet rarely absorbed with care. Here, language slows down, demanding reflection.

The piece is signed at the bottom with a thumbprint rather than a written name. This deliberate gesture replaces conventional authorship with presence and accountability. The thumbprint is primal, unrepeatable, and human—reminding us that every word originates from a person, not an abstraction. It underscores the idea that language is personal and consequential. Power of Words ultimately invites viewers to consider not only what they say, but how their words live on in others.
